HINGHAM - Police in Hingham are asking the public if anyone saw anything suspicious that could lead them to who broke into a home on Route 3A and stole jewelry earlier this week.A homeowner on Chief Justice Cushing Highway came home to find the back sliding door had been pried open and that the house had been rifled through Monday night, police said.Jewelry was stolen from one of the bedrooms before the thief, or thieves, fled through a basement door, police said.
