A former state official from Braintree has avoided jail time after admitting to stealing more than $120,000 from the state’s health insurance program for public employees.Ennio Manto, the 52-year-old former director of the Group Insurance Commission’s finance division, pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny of more than $250 and one count of conflict of interest in Suffolk Superior Court on Monday and was sentenced to three years of probation.
