BRAINTREE — A police officer was hit by an SUV at South Shore Plaza while she tried to apprehend a shoplifting suspect on Saturday night.The officer was knocked down, but suffered only minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital, according to Braintree Police Deputy Chief Sean Lydon.
